Rector’s Bible Study: Immigration

The Rector’s January and February Class Explores the Hot Button Topic of Immigration: Please join us for six Wednesdays beginning January, 9 from 4:00 to 5:30. NEW TIME!  Child care is available.

How do we make sense of the many opinions and news stories about the present day immigration situation in our country?  The upcoming Rector’s Bible Study class will explore the complex issues of immigration from several perspectives.  It will do so by combining personal stories of immigrants, an immigration attorney’s legal point of view, and what Scripture says. A recent documentary and a guest speaker who was a child when her family immigrated from Cambodia will help put a face to the word “immigrant.”   Through conversation and study, people will have new and accurate information to develop their own informed opinions on this hot button topic.

The first class meets Wednesday, January 9 in the big room.  We are experimenting by offering this class at a new time which is 4:00 to 5:30. Please note the new time.  Although it is ideal to attend all six weeks of classes, this class is also open to those who may be able to come to only a few classes—come when your schedule allows.
