Church History

Faith Church began in the fall of 1991, when a small group of people began meeting in Kent and Kathy McNairs home on Sunday evenings.  The first public service was held on Easter Sunday, 1992, in a storefront location.  In February 2003 we moved into our first building on our 10-acre site on Country Club Dr.  We have grown at a steady pace, now welcoming more than 350 people to worship on Sunday mornings and offering a full calendar of Christian education, fellowship events and service opportunities.  In 2001, we became a full-fledged parish in the Episcopal Diocese of Northern California.

We were a mission church of the Diocese, supported by the diocese and under the governance of the Bishop, until the spring of 2001 when we were strong enough to be incorporated as a parish, remaining a part of the diocese, but led by our rector.

We presently conduct all our activities in the first of four buildings we have in the master plan for Faith Church.  At some point in the future we will add an education building, a chapel and eventually a dedicated sanctuary.

We have been led by The Rev. Kent McNair since we began.

The Rev. Charles Karoly was an associate priest from 1999 until his death in 2007.  His civil engineering knowledge was a huge asset in overseeing the construction phase of our development.

The Rev. Elizabeth Armstrong has been the assistant rector since 2001.
