Beginning Summer 2017, groups of eight to ten adults or three to five families with children, will get together once every six to eight weeks for a meal, usually for dinner. Groups meet during the whole year. The dinner location rotates among group members. The group host supplies the main course and co-ordinates accompanying dishes with other members.
Some Dinner/Social Group Ideas: In better weather, some groups may want to meet for a backyard BBQ; a picnic in the park; a luncheon excursion; a wine tasting trip; a boat trip; a baseball game; another activity!
The Dinner Group Committee will form groups in June and email letters to each participant. We will have assignments completed by June 30th and sent out to those who have signed up.
We will have an introductory potluck, for those who have signed up, at the church on Sat Evening July 22nd to meet your group and to coordinate your group next meeting date and place.
Your group host(ess) co-ordinates the first dinner date and food assignments. We attempt to match people who haven’t been together in a group before; for families, we try to match children of similar ages. Groups are formed based on who signs up…the more sign ups, the more options available for creating groups. Look for the insert in the Sunday bulletin and sign-up today!
