If you’re working on forgiving someone, write the person’s name as an acrostic word.  Compose a prayer for the person by incorporating their name into the prayer.

An example:  a person named “John” caused you pain and offense.  Begin by writing John’s name:

Now compose a prayer such as this:

Jesus, you know all your people;
only you know our minds, souls, and
hearts.  May you bless he who
needs You, and give me the strength to forgive him.  Amen.

If you are hurt deeply by someone, re-write the prayer regularly.  You may notice changes in how you feel.
