Worship at Faith Church may be described as “relaxed formality”. We combine The Book of Common Prayer and The Hymnal 1982 with contemporary music. Services are projected on state of the art screens to facilitate worship, plus there is always printed material. Sermons include pictures, film clips, and other visual aids to focus on Biblical themes.
We offer 2 Worship Services on Sunday mornings:
- 8:00 A.M. – A worship service with communion and a blend of contemporary and traditional music. Child care is offered for children up to age 5.
- 10:00 A.M. – A worship service with communion and a blend of contemporary and traditional music. A full compliment of Children’s services, including nursery and toddler care, Sunday School for Pre-K and Kindergarten, Children’s Chapel for grades 1 through 5, and Junior High.
All services celebrate the Holy Eucharist, Rite II.
Children’s Chapel meets in two sessions: One for those in grades 1 through 5 and Junior High Sunday School is for Grades 6 through 7. These children join the rest of the congregation in the main Sanctuary for the beginning of the service, until the Lessons. They are then dismissed to their Chapel, and they rejoin their families in time to participate in the Holy Eucharist or Communion. Children’s Chapel meets throughout the entire calendar year except for the diversity of special events such as when we have speakers from around the world providing education to all ages, such as a mission talk from Africa.
The music is a blend of contemporary Christian songs and traditional Hymns. Our Choir director and her family are all accomplished musicians and we draw from around the community.
